According to the Associated Press "Pope Benedict XVI says he will visit the Holy Land on May 8-15 in the first papal trip to the area since 2000. Benedict announced the dates of the long-planned pilgrimage following his traditional noontime blessing on Sunday."
His itinerary will include stops in Jordan, Israel & the Palestinian territories. In Israel, he will visit Jerusalem, Bethlehem & Nazareth"
With over 40,000 pilgrims that are expected to be visiting Israel during the historical visit time frame, Israel major cities & incoming tourism is excited to show them & the rest of the world the wonders of their country.
