Bringing Israel closer to you, one blog at a time.

Did you know that with over 10,000 kilometers of marked hiking trails, Israel is one of the world's best-kept hiking secrets.
By following the little blue streak of paint smeared on a rock between two white lines, you are safe to know the trail continues here. This way you can enjoy nature, the view and the wild life without having to worry of the chance of getting lost.
You don't have to be into extreme sports to enjoy hiking in Israel. It is a popular activity that is enjoyed by unskilled walkers, families and now even bikers.

So why is hiking in Israel so special? Well considering that Israel's length, north to south, doesn't exceed 500 kilometers, it is incredible that there are over 10,000 kilometers of marked hiking trails spread throughout Israel. The web of trails cut across nature reserves, national parks and are being maintained year around.
From Ramat Hagolan, Galilee & Carmel green trails with peaceful creeks in the north to Ein Gedi waterfalls and the Judean desert with Christian & Jewish historical footsteps, what a unique alternative to enjoy Israel...you can always finish the trip in a great resort in Eilat or the Dead Sea...or maybe one by the Sea of Galilee.
